New Milford - Class 1 Special Law Enforcement Officer

Job Announcement

The New Milford Police Department in Bergen County, NJ will be accepting applications for the position of Special Law Enforcement Officer Class I. The position will pay $22 per hour. Hours will be as needed. Applicant must be available for large scale events, inclement weather and traffic emergencies. The applicants must meet the below requirements:

A citizen of the United Sates and a resident of the State of New Jersey & Bergen County.

Be able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently.

Be of good moral character.
Shall be a high school graduate or have an equivalency certificate recognized by the

Education Department of the State of New Jersey.

Have not been convicted of any crime or disorderly persons offense involving moral turpitude.

Be of eighteen (18) years of age.

Candidates must pass an interview process, background investigation, psychological examination, drug screening and SLEO I Basic Police Academy Course.
